Pico de Gallo

Easy peasy Pico de Gallo recipe! This recipe is perfect for any Mexican type meals.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4-6 people

 

Ingredients:

  • 6 Tomatoes
  • 1 White onion diced
  • 1/2 cup fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 1 Jalapeno diced
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Chili Powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

1. Dice up tomatoes and add into a bowl.
2. Dice the onion and jalapeno and add
3. Chop the cilantro finely and add
4. Cut the lime in half and squeeze over everything.
5. Add all the spices and mix!

 

My mom likes her salsa to be liquidy, so you can also skip all the prep steps except #2 and throw everything into a food processor. Pulse lightly until desired consistency.

For guacamole you can also use the same recipe, replacing the tomatoes for avocados! Or add some tomatoes to the guacamole as well! So many possibilities!
